Meet the Photographer!
Thank you for stopping by, I can't wait to meet you! Let me tell you a little about myself:
I am a wife, a mom, a sister, a daughter, and a photographer. I was born in San Francisco, CA, and spent my entire life living in Northern
California. I moved to Oklahoma in 2006; I love everything about Oklahoma, and
have greatly enjoyed raising our family here.
I love photography because pictures have a way of describing the past that words and stories simply cannot do. That is why the art is so important to me, and that is why I try to give clients something that not only they will have for years to come, but something that is so simply wonderful that it will continue to tell a story years and years from now.
I have over a decade of experience. I officially opened the door to my studio in 2010. I am mostly self taught, but do have formal education in photography. I had a picture published in VYPE Magazine, and have done product photography for Fast Signs in Oklahoma. I am also a proud member of Professional Photographers of America and am certified with Photographic Society of America. I enjoy both portraiture and
landscape.
I started this business out of the pure love I have for taking pictures. I truly appreciate the importance of a good photograph, and I have great respect for the business of photography itself. My goal is to give you the best experience, and the best memories possible. I attend workshops, read books, and have several professional photographers that I consult with. I am always learning and so completely excited about creating something beautiful for you.
This business is licensed with the Secretary of State; I think it's important for you the consumer to know that you are dealing with a legitimate business, yes I do pay taxes like everyone else!

portraits, and as a talented hobby photographer myself I didn't want to
pay someone who would do the same thing I could do myself for free. I
watched Leia Smethurst on facebook for many months to see if she had

Leia! What more can I say about this photographer?? She's a real go-getter. I
had the oppurtunity to work with her a few times and I must say that I am ready

and her work speaks for itself. I know
her in two capacities. First as a commisioned professional that I asked to
shoot the Star Spencer Marching Machine at the OKC Thunder game and then I also
know her as a fellow photographer as we have worked together on a couple of
